Plant a tree with every sale: how businesses fund Mission 100 Crore’s planting projects through 1ClickImpact

“Plant a tree with every sale” is an easy promise to make and a hard one to keep honestly. Most businesses that try it end up with a counter on their website and no idea where the trees are, whether they survived, or who looks after them. Mission 100 Crore has partnered with 1ClickImpact so that a business anywhere can plant a tree in India with every order, signup, or milestone, and see the project it went into.

Where a tree per sale usually breaks

The chain usually breaks at the proof. A business pays a platform, the platform pays a planting partner, and by the time anything reaches the customer it is a number on a counter. In this partnership we plant and photograph, and 1ClickImpact carries that evidence to the business and its customer.

What Mission 100 Crore plants

Mission 100 Crore is the tree-planting initiative of Think Good Foundation, a Section 8 non-profit based in New Delhi. Our goal is a billion trees across India, planted where a tree changes a household’s income or a community’s daily life.

1ClickImpact supports our planting projects across the country: fruit orchards with smallholder farmers in Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra, plantings on school grounds, and planting drives with city volunteers. The example we show most businesses is the Kesar mango program in Sri Sathya Sai District, Andhra Pradesh. Farming families there plant grafted Kesar mango saplings on their own plots under drip irrigation. Grafted trees fruit within a few years, where a seed-grown mango takes close to a decade, and the orchards planted in 2024 are fruiting now.

On farm projects, every tree stands on the farmer’s land and every harvest belongs to the farmer. We supply the saplings, lay the drip lines, and visit through the first years. The orchard’s location and planting photos are on the Kesar Mango Plantation Programme page on 1ClickImpact’s site.

How to plant a tree with every sale

  1. Create a 1ClickImpact account and choose what each event plants. Food trees are the fruit-bearing category and fund orchard programs like ours.
  2. Connect the tool your sales already run through. The options are below. From then on each paid order, signup, or event plants a tree without anyone on your team touching it.
  3. Decide how many trees per event. One per order is the common choice. Some businesses plant one per new customer or per subscription renewal instead.
  4. Put the proof where customers see it: the certificate email after checkout, the public impact page linked from your site, and the running total on your dashboard.

There is no monthly fee and no minimum. A business pays per tree planted.

The tools that connect

  • Shopify stores install the 1ClickImpact Shopify app. Each order plants a tree, and the customer receives a certificate by email after checkout.
  • Businesses on other platforms use the 1ClickImpact Zapier integration to plant a tree when a Stripe payment lands, a HubSpot deal closes, or a form is submitted. Zapier connects it to more than 6,000 apps, so WooCommerce, Razorpay, and Typeform events can all plant trees without code.
  • Teams on Gmail or Google Workspace install the 1ClickImpact Gmail add-on and plant a tree for the person they are emailing. The recipient gets the certificate.
  • Developers call the tree planting API directly. It comes with JavaScript and Python SDKs, webhooks, and a free sandbox, and one request can plant anything from a single tree to ten million.

What your customer sees

A certificate arrives by email with the customer’s name, the project, and a link to a tracking page. Your business gets a public impact page to link from its footer or product pages, and a dashboard of totals and records for reporting. 1ClickImpact records the planting partner, a completion date, a GPS coordinate, and field photos for every impact it funds, so the chain from your order to our planting site stays visible.

Chirag Sachdeva, founder of 1ClickImpact: “Businesses keep asking us to prove the tree exists. With Think Good Foundation, we can point to the site, the people who planted it, and the photos from planting day. That is the standard we want behind every order.”

Amit Bhatnagar, founder of Think Good Foundation: “Goodness multiplies. When we think good, we do good, and the world becomes better.”

For companies in India

Indian companies that want the spend to count toward CSR can fund our projects directly through Think Good Foundation, which is registered for CSR, 12A, and 80G. Reach us through our corporate partnerships page. Businesses that sell online and want the per-order automation go through 1ClickImpact, and the trees go into the same projects.

Questions businesses ask us

Does the tree planted for my order exist?

Yes. Each batch is photographed on planting day and located on the project page, and 1ClickImpact publishes the partner name and completion date for every impact.

Who owns the tree?

On farm projects, the farmer. The orchard is the family’s asset and the harvest is their income. On school and city plantings, the trees belong to the school or community that hosts them.

Can I plant more than one tree per sale?

Yes. The API takes a quantity, and the Shopify app lets you set how much each order plants, so you can plant one per item, one per order, or a fixed number per month.

What if my sales are seasonal?

You pay per tree planted, so a slow month costs less and there is nothing to cancel.
